Privacy Policy
Effective 2026-10-05 · detroitchimneysweeps.com
The short version: we collect what we need to route your request, we share it only with local crews quoting your job, we don't sell it, and you can ask us to delete it.
What we collect
- Calls to our line: your number and what you tell us — name, town, what the chimney needs. It's used to quote and route your job, shared only with local sweeps that want to earn the business, and kept only as long as that takes. Calls may be transcribed so your request reaches the right crew accurately.
- Email: if you write to us, your address and message, kept to answer you.
- Website analytics: aggregate traffic data — pages viewed, approximate region, device type. We don't run advertising trackers and we don't sell traffic data.
How it's used
To route your request to local crews, to answer questions about listings, and to keep the directory accurate. We don't send marketing texts or email blasts — no newsletters, ever.
What we don't do
- We don't sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
- We don't share your details with anyone except the local crews we forward your request to, or when the law requires it.
- We don't add you to a list for later.
Retention and your choices
Request details are kept only as long as we need them to route your job. You can ask us to confirm, correct, or delete what we hold by emailing [email protected] or calling (313) 391-5885. We'll action requests within 30 days.
Security and children
Details travel encrypted in transit and live in access-controlled systems. This site isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the date at the top updates and the current version stays posted here. This site is a directory, not a chimney company — how we list explains what that means.
